When my stepson’s 11th birthday began to approach, I had suggested having a video game truck party.
Well, the gamer in him LOVED the idea!  So the hubs got to booking the game truck and I headed over to Pinterest to start planning!

Let me tell you, game truck parties are THE BEST THING EVER!
We had 12 boys, ages 8-11, coming over and you would think that it would be chaos, right?  WRONG!
This HUGE video game truck pulls into your driveway, the boys pile in and you pretty much have to beg them to come inside the house to eat pizza and cake.  BEST THING EVER.  The hubs and I sat around and relaxed, yes RELAXED, while the boys got their game on!
Seriously, again, BEST THING EVER.

So… the planning was pretty simple.  My graphic designer hubs put together this cute invite that we printed out at our local CVS.  We loved the throwback Gameboy image!

I did simple lime green and black decorations throughout our kitchen and dining area.  Since I didn’t take a pic of that, think balloons, streamers, pinwheels….pretty much every lime green and black decoration they had at Party City.

Food and Drink?  Well, we didn’t need much because they weren’t allowed in the game truck.  We went with the tween boy faves:  pizza, chips, pretzels and Gatorade.  They were in heaven, I swear.

Not only is the hubs awesome with graphic design, he also bakes.  My very own Cake Boss.  He frequents Pinterest as well and ended up with this cake to tie into our “gamer” theme:

Finish it off with a cute little favor…who doesn’t like gumballs?  And we were done.

Seriously, the easiest and best party ever!  The boys had a blast, the birthday boy was in heaven and we got to lounge on the couch and watch TV while the boys played all of their favorite video games for over 2 hours!
