sweatshirt chic.
if you follow me on instagram, you know i’ve been obsessing over literally everything Apricot Lane Peoria is selling! and no, my ravings about them are in no way sponsored. i just truly love everything they’ve got, including this destructed sweatshirt!
I feel like I’ve been wearing sweatshirts so much more lately, just not in the traditional sense. i’ve been picking up styles with fun silhouettes or details and dressing them up with necklaces and fun booties. so who says sweatshirts are just for the gym or bumming around the house?!!

usually i would post these all separately, but i’m gonna give you my peplum extravaganza!
like for real, if you don’t have at least ONE peplum top, you are missing out.
they go with EVERYTHING, they flatter EVERYONE and you don’t have to worry about sucking it in after a big meal – WINNER!
I have quite a few of these, you can find them literally everywhere. my faves are from Old Navy and Urban Outfitters.
So what should you wear with peplums? Jeans, duh. Add some cute booties, flats, heels….statement necklaces, pendant necklaces and neck ties which are HUGE for spring….leather jackets, cardigans….its such a simple look to throw together and is a guaranteed win.

chambray.
its another perfect piece that will go with everything in your closet. when i’m at a total loss for what to wear, i grab my chambray shirt and literally put it with any bottom and you’re set.

transitional cardigans.
cardigans are the best way to take a top from spring/summer to fall/winter. i scooped up this duster last fall, but i’ve found quite a few still in stores. i added mine to a sleeveless tunic turtleneck (i guess that’s what you’d call it…), my ripped skinnies that i’d wear everyday if it were acceptable, tan booties and this pendant necklace which blends silver and gold together perfectly! but then, i got another delivery from Apricot Lane with these BLUSH booties. yup, blush. yes, you heard me right. the girl who hates pink is obsessed with blush. i can’t explain it you guys, but i’m in looooove with blush. especially in the form of these booties. so comfy and cute. i got stopped like 15 times in the mall over them AND they are way cheaper than the Free People version.

speaking of getting compliments at the mall over my new lovers, nordstrom was having their winter clearance sale. while i can’t find this top on their website, you should definitely go try to pick one up in-store before the sale is over! topshop and under $20, i mean, why WOULDN’T you grab one?!?!! i paired it with my other pair of fave ripped skinnies, my camel booties (also from ALP) and loads and loads of jewels! don’t be afraid to pile ‘em on gals! i kept it chic with dainty pieces like the tortoise strand of the York Pendant Necklace (its 3-in-1!), my engravable delicate necklace, my everyday Illusive hoops, Relic ring and Ansley, Chevron wrap and Protective Eye Wishing Bracelets! Speaking of the Protective Eye Wishing Bracelet (in gold), all net proceeds from the sale of this bracelet now thru March 18th will go directly to the Girl Scouts of the USA! while at the mall that day, i stopped into H&M bc well, they always have so many cute things at super low prices. H&M is my new forever 21. so i guess you could call H&M my “Forever 36”?!!
