ok, so i’m sure this comes as no surprise, but i was really excited about february 1st.
why, you ask?
that dang capsule was done + i could finally wear whatever i wanted again!
it was the perfect opportunity to bust out some new pieces i had purchased AND some older pieces i’d been itching to wear.

so without further adieu, here’s what i wore last week (now with style tips!):

this tank!
oh my gooooooodness. it sold out in under 2 minutes + i was able to snag one!!!
its like the perfect knockoff of this free people one for almost half the price!
its the perfect date night tank + i’m sure you’re shocked to see me in blush, but it was just waaaaay too pretty to say no to! btw, blush will be EVERYWHERE this spring so start scooping it up now! if you’re new to my blog, i am NOT a pink person at all, but blush is growing on me + i calmed down the girliness factor with neutrals + ripped jeans. <<< style tip!
i wore it to work so i had to throw this big, cozy cardi on top. next date night tho, i will throw a black leather jacket over it for when we’re outside + when inside, the shoulders will be on display!
bad news? its sold out for a bit, but if you follow Apricot Lane – Peoria they will let you know once its coming back so you can snag one for yourself!

neutrals for the win, as always! (peplum too)
I’d purchased this blouse in the fall + just love the shape of it. also, if you can’t tell, the print is little cherries! since it was a little chilly, i decided to throw on this long cardi in camel for a little pop of “color”
now I was tempted to throw on tan or camel booties with this look, but i went with gray to avoid being too matchy. I also chose my new fave ripped skinnies to edge up the look a little + tone down the librarian-esque look. my mixed metal Sutton was the perfect necklace to finish off the look. this outfit took me from work to a Stella & Dot show, so I call that a win-win!

this was my friday look + it needed to cover quite a few events: work, basketball game + bunco! typical “mom friday” right?!!
well, i go a little more casual (is that possible?) on fridays so i busted out this sweatshirt. i decided i wanted to wear all gray, so then came the skinnies. i also wanted to go a little more feminine so i added my lace-up flats that had been sitting in the back of my closet. so far, it was looking pretty plain.
York to the rescue!
this York pendant necklace has been my JAM + it dressed up this sweatshirt perfectly!!
now it was fine for work – i mean, what isn’t, some people actually wear sweats….. it was basketball game appropriate + it transitioned right into bunco!
this sweatshirt is no longer available, but i linked up a very similar option bc you need one in your life.

i don’t know about you, but my saturdays usually consist of laundry, basketball + errands. instead of bumming it in a hoodie + sneaks, i decided to “edge up” my athleisure with some leather leggings!
don’t think you can rock em? you sure can!
you’d wear plain black leggings or Lu La Roe printed leggings, so why not leather?
they up the coolness of any outfit + are just as comfortable!
paired with this cropped gray hoodie (thats under $25!!!) + some cute Nike’s, you’re now saturday ready!
p.s. – if you haven’t picked up a few of these tanks yet, please do!  they layer soooo well and the curved hem is perfection.
