Helllllloooooooo and Happy Tuesday!

This week’s Fitting Room Diaries is coming at you a little earlier in the week and for good reason!  American Eagle is having a HUGE jeans sale and it ends Wednesday evening so I hit their fitting room and tried on ALL THE JEANS for you gals to compile a mom’s guide to American Eagle Jeans!

Take $25 Off 2 Pairs, $45 Off 3 Pairs or $60 Off 4 Pairs of Jeans with code MOREISMORE

I freakin’ love American Eagle jeans and I usually get a deer in the headlights look when recommending them or a “Isn’t that store for teenagers?!!”  Nope!  They have the BEST jeans and they’re affordable so its a huge win for this mom on a budget!

Before we proceed, my usual sizing for reference:
I’m 5’3″, weigh about 130lbs and am a 34D.
I usually wear an XS/S in tops and dresses and a 0-2/26 in bottoms.

***I am wearing my usual 2 Regular in all of the jeans below***

Light Wash High Rise Jeggingstee | jeans

Light-wash jeans can be seen year ’round nowadays and I love wearing mine with gray, olive green and rust colors as well as a simple white tee!

This pair of jeans are from AE’s new Curvy line (which means per their site):

  • Their softest, stretchiest, never-loses-its-shape denim
  • Super soft, comfortable & lightweight
  • Won’t bag out. Ever.
  • Designed for curves which means no waistband gapping or having to size up!

I can honestly say, these jeans are SUPER soft, have the perfect amount of stretch and ZERO waistband gapping which happens to me often!  This pair have a slight acid wash and a little distressing which is right up your girl’s alley!  As I mentioned above, I’m wearing a Size 2 Regular in all the jeans shown here and the fit is perfect!

You will notice that I’m wearing this white v-neck tee with every pair of jeans in this try-on.  I do that so you can see the jeans as they are and not the jeans masked by a cute top.  Know what I mean??  I’m wearing a Small in this tee and its currently only $9.99!
Medium Wash High Rise Distressed Jeans
This pair fits the exact same way as the pair above, but are in a great everyday wash and have a lot more distressing!  I really love that these jeans suck everything in and just smooth everything out!  Who wouldn’t want that?!!  These are great for everyday wear and will pair well with everything in your closet!  As I mentioned above, I’m wearing these in a 2 Regular, my usual size.
Gray High-Waisted Distressed Jeans
tee | jeans
Ok, I am proclaiming these jeans as my favorite pair that I tried on today!  The fit is the same as the pair above, but I love a gray pair of jeans bc they pair with everything and are a nice change from black skinnies!  These also have a raw hem which I’m also a huge fan of!  Wearing my usual 2 Regular in these jeans!
Destroyed Black Low-Rise Jegging
Ok, this pair of jeans – here’s my dilemma: I love the color, the distressing and the fit of these HOWEVER they are low-rise and your gal loves high-rise jeans.  So there you have it!  If you like a low-rise jean, these are for you!  If you’re a high-rise gal, you’ll have to pass on these!  I’m wearing my usual 2 Regular here!
Can we say throwback to the 90s… or the 70s?!!  These flare jeans are brining me back to middle school and I’m kinda liking them you guys!!  I’m wearing a 2 Regular in these and the fit is great!  They are very high-rise, button-fly and fit like a glove.  I’m loving these jeans with the knotted tee.  I’d rock this out with the girls or on a date night!
American Eagle Mom Jeans
I’m a huge fan of mom jeans, but this pair was not my favorite.  They’re kind of loose, but more fitted in weird spots.  I don’t know, just being honest with you guys.  I did love how soft they are though!  I’m wearing my usual 2 Regular in this pair, but I think sizing down wouldn’t have made them more flattering.
American Eagle Distressed Mom Jeans
Then there were these mom jeans….  I loved the fit of these, however these were just too much distressing for even this ripped jeans obsessed gal. My toes kept on getting caught in all the rips while trying to put them on, haha!  Again, sizing and fit-wise, my usual 2 Regular were perfect, but the overdose of rips just wasn’t doing it for me!

I mean, I couldn’t do JUST jeans…

I had to try on a few tops that caught my eye so here ya go!

This lightweight tank is perfect for summer and can be topped with a cardigan or moto jacket for fall and winter.  I’m wearing a small in it here and it also comes in a pretty red color.  One note for you, this top splits open in the front under the knot, but stays closed for the most part so you’re not flashing your stomach everywhere.

Oversized Boyfriend Sweatshirt

I would like to introduce you to the softest sweatshirt ever!  It comes in a bunch of colors and some patterns (like a muted tie-dye) and its great for chilly summer nights and thru the rest of the year!  I grabbed a small in this sweatshirt and the fit is loose, but not overwhelmingly big!

American Eagle Simple Lace Trim Black Tank
tank | jeans

I love a simple black tank and this one caught my eye!  Its black, has dainty lace trim and its SO freakin soft you guys!  I love it on its own or layered under a pretty blouse.  I grabbed this tank in a Small and def want to grab the other colors too!

Leopard Cropped Blouse

No surprise here, I’m a leopard addict!  I love this cross-front blouse and the tank from above looked cute peeking out of it!  I grabbed a medium in this top for a blousy look and it not only looks good with high-waisted jeans, but it’ll look even cuter with a pair of cutoffs!
