fitting room diaries: H&M

one of my most favorite things about blogging is the research and by research, i mean…shopping!

so here’s another installment of fitting room diaries, this time at H&M!

notice the trend of white, green, blue and some patterns too.  i really went out of character on this trip!

white

there’s something about a white tank that I cannot resist.  I literally have a closet full of them! add a ruffle and black straps and I’m totally sold!  oh yeah, its also $10.  (wearing a 6 here) and onto the jeans, high waisted, light distressing, you know i love em!  these are comfy but not totally flattering “in certain areas” if you know what i mean… (wearing a 26 here)

remember what i said about white tanks?  well, lets just apply it to white tops in general.  I may have more white tops than black ones, now THAT is shocking!  I love a good boho blouse so these bell sleeves and lace top is too cute!  this one was a little too blousy for my taste so I did end up passing on it.  (wearing a 6 here)

green

green is just calling my name this season!
whether it be emerald or olive, i’m totally feelin’ it.

this simple silky blouse is a staple fall piece.
throw it over a button down, under a cardi or vest, its super versatile.  (i sized up to an 8 in this one for a looser fit)

i just about DIED when i spotted this sweater bc its an exact dupe of the one they had out last fall.  i already have it in black, gray and a rust orange (seen here), so i had to grab the green …and maybe run back for a few more colors!  even better, its $19.99!!!
i grabbed a small for a looser fit and you’ll definitely need something underneath as its slightly see-thru.  if you grab one item from this post, this sweater is a MUST!!!

blue

cadet blue is another color that will be big this fall, so i grabbed this dress to give it a go.  now, the dress is slightly big on me, but i love the silhouette, the on-trend ruffles and it has pockets so that’s reason enough to get it.  be sure to use more fall-like accessories to avoid looking too springy in this one.  think:  ankle boots, a moto jacket and chunky jewelry. (wearing a 6 here)

another trend for fall is pajama-inspired pieces and these pull-on pants are so on point!  super soft and comfy, perfect for brunch or working from home!  i tried them on with a simple gray tee, but i love them with a knotted black tank and chunky cardigan with mules. (wearing a 4 here)

and while we’re peeking at these paisley printed pants, let’s move on to this wild number…

a lavender leopard dress?

i don’t know people, i just had to try it on!
the fit is cute and you can totally ground this print with black tights, booties and a moto jacket.  i did end up passing, but it was a fun piece to try on to change it up a bit!  (wearing a 6 here)
