Football season is upon us and with that, all the football foods start cookin’ in my kitchen! When fall hits, I host a monthly dinner with our families where I cook, everybody brings an app and we end up with a ton of food, but it makes for great times! I love these Sundays bc even though we all claim to be super busy, we all make time to see each other on these days and it just makes my heart super happy!
So now for the food….
Wings are ALWAYS a hit and perfect for big groups! For the first Eagles game of the season, its just Mike and I, so I tested out a new seasoning blend for our wings. You may be thinking, why do you need a seasoning blend? Just pour some wing sauce on them and cook ’em, right?? WRONG! For true flavor, you gotta season those wings!
So here’s my air fryer wings – I’m saying they’re the best bc we both went nuts over these and I’ll definitely be making them again!
Ingredients:
Buffalo Wings (you can get the flat ones, drumsticks or both!)
1/3 cup brown sugar
2tbs garlic powder
1tbs salt
1tbs pepper
1tbs paprika
1tbs chili powder
1tbs ground mustard
1tsp cumin
1tsp cayenne pepper
1 bottle of your favorite wing sauce – I like Sweet Baby Ray’s Wing Sauce
Directions:
Mix all of the spices together in a bowl and rub all over wings. Let marinate in fridge for at least an hour. Take out of fridge at least 30 mins ahead of cooking so they come to room temperature. Brush wings with wing sauce, front and back.
Cook in air fryer at 400 for 16 minutes, flipping over halfway and brushing with sauce again. You may need to cook them longer depending upon your air fryer – just make sure they’re crispy and cooked through. If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these at 400 for about 45minutes or until cooked through, flipping over halfway.
When finished, you can toss the wings in more buffalo sauce, if you like yours super saucy and serve with blue cheese, ranch, celery, carrots or whatever your fave accompaniments are!
I hope you guys love these wings and be sure to tag me @jillianrosado in your posts if you make them! You can find all of my other food posts HERE
