Home Office Redesign with Havenly

To say that my home office was in need of a redesign may be the understatement of the century. You can see what I mean by that HERE. See the problem is, my office is “multifunctional” – its my home office, shooting space, home gym and Delaney’s room – there’s a lot happening in this little room. It’s no wonder it became a dumping ground for all of our junk and got completely out of hand. So when Havenly reached out about working together through an online room design, I quickly jumped at the opportunity!

Havenly, in case you’ve never heard of it, is an online home interior design service. You simply fill out an online survey about the space you’d like to redesign as well as a style quiz answering questions about your home decor style. From there, they suggest an assortment of designers whose work you can check out and then choose to take on your project. You submit room measurements and layout and note what furniture or decor pieces you already have on hand that you’d like to keep.

The designer takes all of your information and puts together some idea boards to get a better sense of your style. From there, they put together a concept board that you can give feedback on so they can make adjustments and after that, you’ll get a 2D and 3D room design board and layout. These are SO cool bc you’re getting a peek at what the space could look like and I was blown away by mine!

Once you confirm the 3D design, your designer provides a shopping list of all of the items they used for your design and in the price range you specified in the beginning. At this point, your design process is done. You can decide to buy everything they suggested and complete the design. You can decide to find similar options elsewhere to finish the look too – there is no requirement to purchase anything beyond the design process. The cool thing is though, Havenly works with a bunch of online retailers so you can place one order on their site rather than multiple orders on different sites.

For my office redesign, I decided to keep my desk and clothing rack that I already had. My designer incorporated Delaney’s crate/condo and our treadmill into the design as well. I bought many of the items she suggested, but found a few on my own at Home Goods and World Market. I am in love with my finished product! The design is VERY me – I love the black and white and neutral textures! Its organized, well thought out and fits all of my needs.

I am really loving all of the basket storage that it offers instead of just having stacks of rubbermaid containers like I used to! And I love showing off some of my vintage Stella & Dot pieces rather than keeping them tucked away!

All in all, I am extremely happy with the results and couldn’t recommend the Havenly design process enough! I will be using it again when Mike and I redesign our bedroom in 2022!
