embroidered military jacket.

the hubs and i went up to NYC for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and what comes along with that? NYC shopping!

I quickly beelined into zara the second i saw it!
I love zara and lucky for me, my local mall is finally opening one this fall and then i’m pretty sure my husband is going to officially murder me and take away my debit card.
but until then….. he fully supported my NYC shopping and if you saw my instagram story, he said, and I quote, “run free baby bird… do you!” he quickly regretted that statement.

anyways, I had seen this jacket at our Hoopla fashion show and at that moment, I was determined to find it and add it to my closet.
so picture the squeal I let out when this jacket came into my line of sight…
(the hubs was embarrassed for sure)

I LOVE this jacket!
most people might think its gaudy and over the top, but I love the surprise pop of detail on the back. its like a simple military jacket at first glance and then with a quick turn, BAM! amazing gorgeousness. the tassels, the ribbon, the embroidery, the tiny mirrors, its literally the most beautiful jacket I’ve ever owned.

I kept the rest of my look fairly simple with the exception of these blush tassel earrings that I had to wear the second they were delivered. I know, pink, my least favorite color, but i’m really loving these! even more so since they convert to studs – versatility at its finest!
