i’ve been looking for a pair of red booties for awhile, probably like two years. I’ve just never been able to find the “right pair.” well, lets fast forward to me browsing thru Nordstrom’s sale section and stumbling upon two pairs that both fit some of my criteria. how did I decide? this was something that clearly needed an Instagram Poll. well, 86% percent of you went with Pair 1 so I added them to my cart, decided I couldn’t wait til the 20th for them to be delivered so I chose Pick Up In-Store and within the hour, these boots were in my possession. They are comfy, the perfect shade of red and will help my overly neutral outfits pop for sure!

let’s start with the fact that I am not a loyal mascara brand kinda gal. i love to try them all. well, when my sister told me this mascara was a must-have, I took one glance at her lashes and decided I had to have it! gals, it does NOT disappoint! check out the difference with just two coats of this lash lacquer! its not over-priced, is my fave shade of black and doesn’t clump or run! this mascara just might make me a brand-loyal lash gal after all.

since i’m participating in Emily Ley’s Simplicity Challenge, Day 7 indicated that I had to make a list of ten books to read in 2018. I finished up Wild & Free last weekend while still sticking to my 2018 reading resolution that I shared here and needed a more light, easy read to follow it up with so The Magnolia Story was the perfect pick! I’m already 1/4 of the way through it and let me tell you, if you loved Chip & Joanna before, you will love them even more after reading this! They are the most genuine people and I love getting a peek at how they met, how they started out, etc!

I’m making an effort to cook more at home after reviewing our budget from last year and seeing how much money we blew on eating out! its seriously SO disturbing! Anyways, my Pinterest is full of healthy recipes so when meal planning, thats my spot to find new dinners for the fam!
