Ok guys, you are going to see a TON of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale posts and let me tell you, there is a TON of stuff included in the sale, but I hit my local Nordstrom store this morning to try it all on. A few things happened and I’m going to share them all with you here!
In-Store vs. Online
Ok so I was honestly pretty disappointed with my store’s selection! I went in looking for shoes, the Something Navy line, beauty products, Free People and basic tees. There was not a huge selection of clothes and nothing from the Something Navy line. They did have a decent selection of shoes, but after watching some other girls hit their local store, not nearly as much as they had! There were a bunch of beauty products tho!
I would HIGHLY recommend shopping this sale online! The bonus of Nordstrom is their free shipping and returns so if it doesn’t fit for some reason, you can return it free of charge!
What I Liked vs. What I Bought
Adulting is hard man! I wanted a LOT, but my budget (and my husband) were whispering in my ear, “CONTROL YOURSELF!” The prices are really great in this sale, but its hard bc I can’t wear most of it until about October or November so I let that influence my decision on what I bought and you’ll see why! I will share my full try-on session in my stories, but for here I’m sharing what I actually bought!
What I Liked: Leopard Cardi | Camo Jacket | Leggings | Thermal Henley | Leopard Tee | Lace Trim Cami
I tried on a LOT you guys, but I ended up grabbing a handful of things! Not to discount anything I didn’t buy bc this Leopard Cardigan is SO soft and cozy, but they only had a Small in store and I needed an XSmall. This camo jacket is SO so cute – I did an XSmall – but I have way too many olive green jackets in my closet as we speak. These Spanx leggings NEVER go on sale, but I have my amazon dupe of them so I figured I’d use the money I’d spend on them for something else!
I did end up getting this thermal henley bc I loooooved it and I can wear it on a chilly shore night and throughout the rest of the year – comes in a few colors, I’m wearing an XS in this.
I did end up getting this leopard tee bc…. have we met?? I cannot resist anything leopard and this was only $15.90!! I grabbed a Small in this one.
I did end up getting this Lace Trim Cami bc I can wear this one year round as well and its super versatile! This comes in a few different colors (and patterns!) and I’m wearing a Small in it.
Per my complaint above, it kinda sucks when you buy stuff at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and then you can’t wear it for months! Problem solved with these block heel sandals! I legit fell in love as soon as I saw these and bonus, they can be worn now thru fall! These fit true to size and are just SO well made and the thick block heel makes them really comfy to boot!!
I’ve been working on my fitness on the regular, so I figured I deserved these sneakers! They’re this pretty grayish-lavender color with rose gold wrapped around the heel. Super cute, right?!! I went up a 1/2 size in these bc Nike’s tend to run small but I am so excited to rock these on my next workout!
If you haven’t heard of Charlotte Tilbury, you might be living under a rock! When this lip kit was announced, I knew I had to grab it! Pillow Talk has a cult-following and is the perfect pinkish nude that works on all skin tones! The guy at the counter also told me that the gloss in this set is exclusive to the NSale and won’t be available for purchase again til 2020!
So there’s my first Early Access of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 – I kept it as low key as I could shopping today! I’m pretty proud of myself tbh bc I could’ve bought a TON more!
