Target Fitting Room Diaries // February 2019

Hey hey! I’m back with another round of Fitting Room Diaries! If you are new here, I hit the fitting rooms of some of my favorite stores and try on a bunch of new arrivals and take pics of them while sharing fit and styling advice with all of you! This week, I hit up my local Target at the request of my Instagram followers and I ran into a little issue.

You see, Target is dangerous – we all know this. I walked into their fitting rooms with legit like 40 different items of clothing. I’m talking ALL the stripes, random t-shirts, some leopard obv and I was like, this is RIDICULOUS. I needed to make it easier and more attainable for all of you SOOOOOOOO I chose 8 pieces of clothing that I can mix and match into a bunch of outfits so you can get more bang for your buck. In fact, all 8 pieces total about $206 and they can all be worn now and transitioned thru spring as well! So I took pics of a bunch of combinations of each look, but for any I missed, you can visualize it, right?!!

So here’s the lineup with the sizes I’m wearing in each piece:

White cami – size small
Gray tee – size small
Striped blouse – size small
Striped cardigan – size small (could have done an XS)
Jean jacket – size small (size down for a less oversized look)
Distressed black skinnies – size 2 (fit TTS)
Mom jeans – size 2 (fit TTS – mom jeans should be a little loose fyi)
Striped palazzo pants – size 2 (fit TTS)

I am a jeans kinda gal 99% of the time, but I was drawn to these pants! They are SO out of character for me, but that’s fun sometimes, right?!! Plus, I’ve never met a stripe I didn’t like, let’s be honest! Since these are “statement pants,” I added simple neutrals (as always) to “ground” the look! This simple gray tee can be worn with literally anything and I love an oversized denim jacket draped over my shoulders!
Its such an edgy, yet chic look that I would totally wear for brunch with the gals!

I quick changed out of the striped pants and added these high-waisted distressed black skinnies! Everyone needs a pair of these in their closet! This pair fits TTS and almost have a compression-type fit which I was weirded out by at first, but loved once I got them on! They give a teensy bit but not so much that they’ll totally stretch out and lose their shape! They are slit at each knee and have a raw, step hem! For $20, these jeans are a HUGE YES!
This look is perfect for weekend errands or kids drop off and pick up! You could even add a pair of casual sneakers to dress it down a smidge!

A white cami can be worn so many ways as can this neutral camel and black striped cardigan! Mom jeans just go with everything in my book, so I really loved this casual combo! I’m wearing a small in this cardigan, but could have done an XS – they just didn’t have one in store! Also bc I get this question a lot, yes I am busty (I wear a 34D in most bras) and the size small cami fits me in the bust no problem!
This look works for me for any day of the week honestly! I love casual style and since I work for myself, it’s work appropriate too!

First of all, can we talk about how my necklace and earrings work with every look you’ll see in this post? These are two of my OG faves that I wear on the regular and this just proves how good they are bc they work with literally anything!
ok, back to the clothes… I love stripes, clearly! I also loved the rust color of this blouse and its ruffle sleeve! I kept this look simple with those black distressed skinnies and just lovin’ this look for date night!
