As I continue with my theme for 2021, Celebrate Everything, I fell down a huge Instagram hole and discovered some amazing crafty gals that I now love following! Their creativity and joy is so infectious and they’ve inspired me in so many ways! (I’ll be sure to highlight some of my fave follows over in my Instagram stories today!)

One of my favorites to follow is Occasions By Shakira. She is so positive, creative and she has such a beautiful family! I have been incredibly inspired by her Occasions Bins. Every month or so, she will create a new Occasions Bin for whatever theme there is at the time – most are holiday related. She fills her baskets with plates, napkins, cups, straws and so many other goodies that fit the theme. You can read her full post about them HERE

Occasions Bin Home Goods Finds Holiday

I am hooked guys! I am always buying random holiday plates that just sit in my cabinet along with themed cupcake cups and sprinkles and the like. I love the idea of an Occasions Bin to put those things to use instead of them just piling up in the back of a cabinet or pantry.

I started with a Valentine’s Day Occasions Basket (check out my Valentine’s Day Highlight on Instagram to see it) and now I’m moving onto my St. Patrick’s Day Basket! Isn’t it so fun?? I find most of my goodies at Home Goods, Michaels and Target, but there are also some amazing little shops that I’ve discovered through Instagram that make the most adorable things too! Check out Ellie & Piper, Glitter Party Co and Chalk Designs By Me

St. Patrick's Day Occasions Bins Decorations Garland

I never realized how much joy a little basket of themed paper goods could bring, but you guys, it totally does! The boys are loving it and they were so excited to see the St. Patrick’s Day one this week! Yes, teenage boys were excited about this! It brings a little color to your countertop, inspires some creativity and its just so festive and fun! You can’t not smile when seeing one! Oh and those adorable flags?? I got the printables from Thread Mama and just used some ribbon and yarn I had on hand!

I am already collecting stuff for my Easter Occasions Basket and then will probably move into a Spring themed one or maybe even a Cinco De Mayo one?? You can literally do anything! I’ll link up some of what I’ve got in mine below (except for anything from Home Goods bc they don’t have an online store) as well as the basket I have!

I hope this inspires you guys to create an Occasions Bin for yourself or to find more ways to Celebrate Everything this year!
