Back again with this month’s Monthly Beauty Edit! Missed last month’s? Check it out HERE. The Monthly Beauty Edit is where I share my thoughts on any new beauty and/or skincare products I’ve tried in the past month so let’s get to it!

CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum

I had seen TIBAL share their love for this and since her word is gold to me, I decided to give it a whirl! Its GOOD y’all! First of all, when you’ll spend $50+ on hyaluronic acid serums from the popular skincare brands, it is really nice to find a good one at the drugstore for $16.99! I attribute a lot of my glow to this stuff. Even though I have oily skin, its still important for me to hydrate it! I use one pump of this in the morning after my Vitamin C product and two pumps at night before my nighttime moisturizer. It hydrates, it plumps, it soothes and it just feels so good on my skin! I will buy again 100%

La Roche-Posay Lipikar Daily Repair Moisturizing Body Lotion

CVS Beauty had sent me the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Balm in the winter and I loved it for my dry, winter skin, but its a little too heavy for summertime in my opinion so I decided to try the Lipikar Daily Repair Lotion instead and its the perfect alternative to the balm for the summer! I also love that I can grab it at Target! Its pricier than your regular body lotion at $17.99, but it works really well – not too thick, not too thin, no strong smell – all the things our summer skin needs! I am totally sold on La Roche-Posay period and look forward to trying more of their products!

Replenix Antioxidant Hydrating Tinted Sunscreen SPF 50+

Replenix had sent me a bundle of products last month and their tinted sunscreen totally won me over! The tint gives a nice hint of color without making you look weird like some others can – if that makes sense? I feel like some tinted sunscreens are thick and give a gray hint to your face. It worked like a charm too! We were at a pool party and there was not a cloud in the sky and my face was fully protected – no color or burn from all day in the sun and I did not reapply either! I also tried one of their spray sunscreens and wasn’t a huge fan of it. The spray comes out white and it sticks around even after diligently rubbing it in so you have a weird white film on your arms and legs afterwards. So in conclusion, stick with the Antioxidant Hydrating Tinted Sunscreen!

Ever SMOOTH Peptide Lip Therapy in Petal

I am not the girl that wears lipstick on the beach, or even a lot in the summer tbh, but I do like a little hint of something on my lips and this Ever SMOOTH gives me just that! I love the Petal shade bc its a little hint of soft, neutral pink that’s flattering on all complexions. They have a few other colors – I’m thinking of trying the Coral next! This product definitely moisturizes your lips, but it also claims to plump your lips and minimize fine lines. I haven’t seen much in that area yet, but I do love how soft it makes my lips with a little hint of color!

belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb

So one of the hazards of trying beauty and skincare products is when your skin reacts badly to them or in my case, when you don’t read the directions entirely and react badly. I had been trying out a facial cleansing product and was using it twice a day and should’ve only used it twice a week at first and in turn, my skin got dry and raw and it was NOT fun. I needed to do some recon skin repair and this belif aqua bomb was a HUGE help! A friend of mine gave this to me, but I never used it bc I have oily skin and tend to shy away from thicker moisturizers. Well let me tell you, this stuff got my skin back in check in a couple days and its been so soft, plump and supple ever since! Its a great nighttime moisturizer and I’ll be using it as my nighttime moisturizer come winter when my skin needs some extra moisturization!

So there you go, a few new beauty products I’ve been using this past month! I hope you find some that you love to help with whatever skin woes you’re having or to add into your makeup routine. Be sure to let me know if you try any of these – I’d love to hear what you’re loving!
