Ok so remember last Monday when I told you that the InstantPot company reached out to me to send me their newest InstantPot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer?? If you don’t, you can read all about it HERE! Anyways, I’ve been using it for the past week and it’s pretty freakin’ awesome!
I asked a bunch of my friends to send me their favorite InstantPot recipes and I watched a TON of YouTube videos about how InstantPots work so I could put it to use in the best way possible! So today, I’m able to share my full review along with a week’s worth of recipes AND a fun giveaway at the bottom of this post so be sure to read all the way through!
Ok so the InstantPot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer is an InstantPot and Air Fryer in one! It looks like your typical InstantPot, but comes with an additional lid and accessories to turn it into an air fryer! NOTE: If you already own an InstantPot, you can buy just the lid to turn yours into an air fryer – you don’t need to buy a whole ‘nother appliance! You can grab that lid HERE
Ok so what makes this thing so great?? Well one, in the InstantPot mode, you can use it to quickly pressure cook, sauté, steam, slow cook, sous vide and warm. In Air Fryer mode, you can use it to quickly air fry, roast, bake, broil and dehydrate. YUP! All of that in one appliance!
Its digital display is really easy to use and pretty self-explanatory, but I was clueless on this Quick Release vs. Natural Pressure Release stuff I kept reading in all of these recipes! Well, I watched this YouTube video and figured it out pretty quickly! Guys, the internet can be really helpful when you use it sometimes! The manual it comes with is also really helpful so I highly recommend reading it, it’s there for a reason!
Ok so I tested out the InstantPot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer all of last week with these recipes:
Sunday: InstantPot New England Clam Chowder
Monday: InstantPot Hot Roast Beef Sandwiches
Tuesday: InstantPot Garlic Parmesan Chicken
Wednesday: DINNER OUT
Thursday: InstantPot Hibachi Steak & Veggies
Friday: InstantPot Country Style Ribs (finished off in the air fryer)
Saturday: Air Fryer Wings
I liked the quickness of the InstantPot and the ‘throw it together and forget it’ attitude that I could have with it. It makes for really easy weeknight dinners! Since I do already own an air fryer (seen HERE), I found myself not using the air fryer lid as much as one would think BUT if you don’t have an air fryer, just grabbing the lid is an easier and more affordable option for sure!
